TAKE A LOOK: HANDWORK & WOODWORKING Room
The arts are present within and throughout the curriculum of both our early learning programs at the St. John Neumann School for Children & Families and the grades and high school at the Mary Francis Bachmann School. Handwork and Woodworking add essential lessons and skills to the learning of children.
While painting, modeling clay, and beeswax feature prominently in the classroom, students explore a unique space dedicated to allowing each of them to explore knitting, Woodworking, and more. These “crafts” help students develop dexterity, skills, and patience while applying the lessons they have learned each day in the classroom to these unique crafts and artistic experiences.
