TAKE A LOOK: The public dominican chapel
The public chapel of the Monastery is preserved as an integral part of the Mary Francis Bachmann School. While our curriculum does not include formal religious instructions, the Saints present throughout the Chapel – St. Joseph the Worker, St. Martin De Porris, St. Rose of Lima, St. Mary – provide examples of attributes to which all of us should aspire and from which all of us would benefit from seeing reflected throughout both our school community and the Lancaster Community at-large.
The students will engage the space as an auditorium and a performance space throughout the week. On Sundays, Ukrainian Catholic Church of Lancaster continues to hold Mass in the chapel and CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health will be petitioning Bishop Gainer to explore the possibility of offering Mass in the Chapel each Sunday for the local community.
