Crisis Point: Emerging from a Mental Health Epidemic – March 7-9, 2025
The United States Surgeon General declared a mental health emergency amongst our youth as the nation struggled to emerge from the COVID Pandemic. Yet, the mental health challenges facing our communities started well before the Pandemic and impact much more than just the youth in our community. As with any challenge, the first step is understanding the issue. The Crisis Point Conference educates the community about the mental health crisis we are facing helps us discover the true nature of the pandemic, its impact upon individuals, families, community and the economy, as well as stories of success and possibility that can be found around the country and around the globe.
As a result of the series the community will:
- Gain a common-understanding of the complex issues surrounding mental health.
- Explore both the challenges and opportunities before us.
While there has been discussion of mental health in various circles, the Crisis Point conference provides the starting point from which we can begin our collective journey to improve the well-being of every resident and to create a healthier Lancaster for all.
