David Youll, MA, LPC, CFRS has been working in the behavioral health field since 2009. David holds a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Certified Family Recovery Specialist. David became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2019. He has worked in many facets of the profession including residential services and outpatient counseling. David has experience treating children, adults, and families.
Before coming to CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health he worked with adults who were in treatment for substance abuse and also taught family members how to support and encourage their loved ones ongoing recovery. Previously David worked for several years with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness in helping them to better self-manage their symptoms while developing a personally meaningful life. David has received focused training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivation Interviewing, and Attachment Based Family Therapy.
David was born in Ohio and has lived in several states over the years though he has been a resident of Pennsylvania since 2001. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States. Besides traveling, David enjoys doing volunteer work, playing guitar, hiking, meditation, and cooking.
