Jami joined CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health in May 2020 as a Therapist in the Behavioral Health Center. She holds a Master of Social Work from University of South Carolina and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2019, after holding an LSW since 2017. She has experience and expertise in treating children, adolescents, and adults with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma related conditions. In this work, she also holds a national certification to provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as TF-CBT focused on Childhood Traumatic Grief.
Before coming to CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health, Jami worked with children, adults, couples and families with depression, anxiety, and serious mental illness providing outpatient therapy for three years. She also spent two years providing support through the forensic interviewing process, advocacy, and trauma informed care at a Children’s Advocacy Center in Lexington, South Carolina. Professional interests include pediatric and adolescent trauma, transgenerational trauma, childhood grief and loss, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and working with family systems.
Jami was born in York, Pennsylvania where she spent most her life until her educational pursuits. She spent two and a half years living in South Carolina but returned to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to be closer to family. She enjoys health and fitness, hiking, beach trips and spending time with family and friends.
